Keynote Speakers
Kelly Kay is an experienced health leader, bringing more than 30 years of health system experience to her role as Executive Director of Ontario’s Provincial Geriatrics Leadership Office, an office focused on providing system infrastructure for clinical geriatric services in the province. Kelly’s past work has included direct clinical practice in geriatric and psychiatric nursing, clinical administration in primary care, and roles in health policy, health professional education, and health administration at the national, provincial and local levels. Kelly has a proven track record in leading regional collaborative initiatives in the areas of health system planning and design, primary care and geriatrics.
Kelly holds a Master of Arts in Leadership (Health Specialization) from Royal Roads University and has completed an Interdisciplinary Fellowship with the Canadian Frailty Network, studying the use of technology in the care of older adults living with frailty. Kelly has developed curricula in the areas of interprofessional practice and health systems for health professionals and therapeutic communication for Personal Support Workers. Kelly is currently completing PhD studies at the University of Toronto in collaboration with the Institute for Life Course and Aging. Her research interests include health system co-design with older adults and interprofessional team-based care models. She is an enthusiastic advocate who fosters collaboration with older adults and health professionals to create new possibilities for integrated, person-centred care for older adults and their caregivers living with complex health needs in Ontario.
Adam Morrison is a public policy professional with more than a dozen years of leadership experience in health care, social services, Indigenous relations, and post-secondary education administration. In his current role as the Director of Policy & Planning at Provincial Geriatrics Leadership Ontario, he focuses on designing and implementing integrated care models and co-creating policy with clinicians and older adults that improves the quality of health and social care for seniors in Ontario. Adam has a Master of Science from the London School of Economics & Political Science.
